You may be interested to know that I wrote the code that generated the graphic you see above back in 1989 (-ish), if memory serves. There’s actually a bunch of logic in the splash screen code that checks to see if the video card installed is graphics-capable — a lot of them were not in those days.
Somewhere I still have the marketing graphic which I marked up with a protractor and ruler to get the angles and dimensions just right.
